Walking Till You Can't Anymore and Loving It All the While!

"I don't think London has been given enough credit in a lot of the movies that we make here. "
Mel Smith

I'm not quite sure if its a good thing, but today I feel like we walked around 5,000 miles, yet despite it all, London is absolutely FABULOUS!

Our morning began with an attempt to reach Westminster Abbey which
was finally accomplished after 2 failed Tube attempts and an extremely hilarious incident with a double decker bus. Needless to say I got off and Carrie didn't, leaving me on the street and Carrie stuck in a bus
with an angry driver who refused to let her out. We eventually met up and made it to the
service 30 minutes late to be initially refused by a robed man and then asked back for a lovely 15
minutes of communion.

Following that adventure we roamed the streets of London visiting Buckingham Palace, St. James Park, and our favorite Big Ben to eventually meet up with our group and head to Holland Park, the most beautiful park I've ever seen, for
our first series of lectures.

Finally, after being let out for
free time Carrie and I explored the city with map in hand and tired feet entering the most famous store in all of London, Harrod's. There we bought cupcakes and explored the store in all its Egyptian splendor and expensive merchandise. Our night was wrapped up with some delicious Thai food and good company. London is wonderful, better than all the movies make it out to be. And until tomorrow, goodnight from the city that literally never sleeps. Love to all!

  1. I am glad you had a great day. All of the teachers here at school are looking at your blog and wishing we were with you! Do you have a guidebook of London?
